Resume Advice for Career Changers?

Question:
It seems that many of those reading thiswebsite are career changers like myself. Mine is the typical story: I have lost interest in my current career so I am home studying MCSE to help me "switch career lanes".

I was wondering if any of you friendly readers out there have advice for my "career change" resume. I just started working on this and I have been staring at a blank objective for about an hour. This will be a tricky document to write. Any suggestions for such a resume? Anyone with a similar situation? Mind sending me an example?

Some more specific questions I have...

I like brief objectives but I think it will be hard to make the reader understand if I am too brief... What are some formats/layouts to say what tests I have passed and what PC skills I have? Is it too pompous to say MCSE (expected 10/99)? I know people often do this when they are almost finished a Master's Degree. I want to include all of the proper buzzwords too. Any buzzwords I should not leave out?

Answer:
- By now you've probably received my personal e-mail with an example. I feel it's fine to indicate an MCSE "expected date". Good idea. Better to get going now than to wait till later to go job hunting.

Make sure to emphasize the tests you have passed and your current MCP status.

Objective? Simple is fine. "To obtain a position in the Information Technology field commensurate with my interest in computer networks". No big deal.

-I'd leave out the buzzwords as often the first person to read your CV is not in IT but in "human resources" (which I think sounds dreadful, like we're oil or something) I have read that in a couple of places about CV writing.
