Tell me about Executive Career Resource Group and Executive More Resume Than Writing ?

Question:
Tell me about Executive Career Resource Group and Executive More Resume Than Writing ? I have been looking over this outfit, which bills itself as a "Career Consulting Service." This probably means that they will edit my resume and give me tips -- for a price. And they, like others of this type, claim they are "especially effective" for certain types of job-seekers (I'm one of those types). They have offices in Philly, Boston, Hartford, Providence, Stamford CT, and the Princeton NJ area.

I wonder if anyone reading this knows the Executive Career Resource Group and would care to comment on their effectiveness. If you don't know them specifically, it's OK to comment on this kind of service in general -- although I have been reading up on "career consulting services" and know some of the pitfalls in dealing with them already -- because others who read this may be interested in hearing your comments.

Answer:

In general people who want to upgrade their career track should spend nothing more than the calories, gasoline or bus fare to get to their local public library, which should stock a number of books and periodicals on career growth and job hunting. People who are enrolled in or have graduated from a college or university usually have access to some sort of career counseling office on campus. Then, there's this website
