i'm a somewhat recent grad. in graphic design and i'm looking for work

Question:
i'm a somewhat recent grad. in graphic design and i'm looking for work. i'm sending my resume and samples to employers but i'm not getting any response. i consider my self a decent designer for entry level and if i can get an interview i feel that i would have a good shot at getting the job. but the problem is, i can't get the interviews.

Answer:
-Hire a singing telegram announcing the impending arrival of your resume... follow it up with a stripper... have the stripper paint your url on his/her tummy. Follow this up by having your resume delivered via a troupe of acrobats or tap dancers...( Cirque Du Soleil would be nice but I think they're pricey )..... have the head of personnel followed for a day by three mimes wearing sandwich boards telling of the delivery of your resume... then wait three days call them and ask if they got your resume.

Or you could take a look at Dan Turners site for some related tips... I know you didn't mention freelancing but his site is still worth a look see. http://www.FreelanceWorkshops.com

-Are you sending resumes blindly, or are you applying for advertised positions? If you are applying for an advertised position, make sure you customize your resume to accentuate your experiences in the areas advertised for. For example, if the employer has advertised for a designer with skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash, make sure that your resume mentions that you have experience in each of those programs, and how long you've worked with each (assuming you have the experience...don't lie on your resume just to get the job!).

Maybe you could post your resume somewhere on the web, and we could take a look and give you some pointers?
