Question:
I have three PC's with Gigabyte mainboard based on 815E chipset.
I use Windows 2000Pro Italian SR1 as operating system.
Graphic drivers are ver.6.1, no Ide busmastering drivers installed.
The system goes in standby and resume correctly, except for the graphic
card that don't send signal to the monitor.
I have to power of the PC removing the AC cable and restart the pc.
I already have contacted the Gigabyte, but I have not yet received a reply.
Answer:
-I have this same problem with a MSI 815e motherboard. The monitor
does not wakeup after going into standby. I am using the 6.1 815e graphics drivers.
Has anyone got the standby to work with a different version of the graphics drivers?
-I too have the same problem with my intel CA810e MB. This must be a problem
with the 6.1 drivers as it didnt occur with the 6.0 drivers
this problem then days ago, but I return to the forum only now, sorry.
In this case I use drivers version 6.1 for the Intel graphic adapter and the
resume work correctly.
mainboard + Windows 2k Pro + Drivers 6.1 and the resume don't work like in
the system that use Gigabyte M/B, so I deduce that Intel drivers 6.1 for
Windows 2K have problems with the resume operation or both MSI and Gigabyte
have bugged mainboards.
