Question:
If you are such a good resume writer, write your own resume and, for a
God's sake, FIND YOURSELF A REAL, NON-SCAM JOB!!!
What makes this a scam?
There are plenty of professional resume writing services out there... all
charging in about the same range as the original poster was asking for
(about $75-150 for a resume and cover letter)
And what would make it "not real"?
If he can get 10 to 15 clients a month, he can make a decent living at it...
it would be the same as people who write web pages, do contract programming,
etc...
Sure, it might not be your thing... maybe you would never consider paying
somebody to write your resume up... But I've been a speaker at a few job
workshops around Vancouver and have looked at hundreds of resumes. From
what I've seen, I'd probably place the ratio around 1 bad resume for every 2
or 3 good ones... and of the bad resumes, maybe 1 in 4 are so bad that
nobody would ever hire that person with that resume.
So, how is it a scam? And how is it not a real job?
Answer:
-Your offering a resume "crafting" service and you can't even spell!!
how about posting an example of a "crafted" resume..... come on! prove to
use that this is not a scam
- the fact that his posting demonstrates that he _can't spell_?
I won't criticize spelling in discussions, but I most certainly _will_
point it out in this situation.
The guy is trying to sell people on the idea that they should pay him
money to help get their resumes right, and he uses terrible English
complete with bad spelling and grammar _in the advertisement_.
If he wants to sell people on the idea that it's worthwhile for them
to pay him money, he ought to be demonstrating it in the high quality
of his advertisement. He's certainly not doing that!
