This is probably a touchy subject with some but you absolutely must remain
positive about your search. If you are no longer working, your full time
job right now is sales. You must sell yourself to a perspective employer.
It is very difficult for any sales person to pound the pavement and the
phones day after day and it can be even more difficult for someone without
that type of experience. Let me tell you that you will find work. Your
next job is right around the corner but you must stay positive.
It's easy to spot a down-trodden job seeker. Trust me, as a recruiter, I
understand your frustrations but when a down-trodden job seeker shows up in
front of my client for an interview, what do you think is going to happen.
That job seeker will have his head low and body slumped forward, denoting a
lack of self confidence. The hiring manager is not going to be impressed.
The key is finding what gets you excited about your search and do it. Sure
there are a lot of things that are unpleasant about a job search but isn't
it in the least bit exciting sniffing around other companies to see what the
environment is like. Wouldn't it be awesome if you found a company that let
you play basketball or ping pong on breaks. There are those companies out
there, you know. What about a four day work week? What about four weeks of
paid time off while the factory closes in addition to to your 2 weeks of
vacation. (Yes there are companies out there with those perks) With all
this talk about time off, maybe I should take a vacation.
The point is it is very easy to blame yourself when a search is not turning
up offers but don't. You must believe that you will find work.

-I am sorry, I missed it on the 1st go around. She is asking for $50 a
resume to review them. I thought
there would be a catch. Most posts in here are SPAM asking for money for
nothing in return. She is
no different.
I had to do a little more research to see where she was coming from. My
bad..
