Question:
I was in the Microsoft Office Word 2003 program. They have many resume
templates, for almost every type of career one could have --- except for a
auto mechanic.
I know I can use the funtional or cronological templates. However, I
figured since there were samples for so many others than why not for the auto
mechanic. Could someone please forward to me a relatively simple and
to-the-basics resume that relates directly to the auto mechanic.
Answer:
It is wrong to think that each career has its own type of resume. Just tell
it as it is: be honest, be clear and make it look neat.
When I hired (lab techs for example) I wanted a chronological resume giving
details of expererience. Your future employer wants the same, I'm sure. Tell
where and when you worked; tell what type/make of vehicle you worked on; did
you specialize in anything (breaks, steering...). Give a summary a the end
of your skill set: all the things you can do.
