I'm currently working on an online resume/CV which I intend to add to the
various search engines and promote it as best I can. I'm just waiting for my
domain to be registered which should take a day or so. My question(s) is...
1. Does anyone have experience of job hunting using an online resume? If so
which method was the most successful?
2. Are emails to potential employers with the link to my website a "no-no"
or should I send a hard copy resume with my URL within?
3. If you were an employer and were seeking an applicant with html/internet
skills and you were doing a search for potential applicants. Which keywords
would you use? ("resume, ,CV,sales,marketing,computing skills,job,
etc" are some I'm considering)
4. There are various agencies which employers register with when a vacancy
arises. Do these actually pay off?
I want to get this right and would appreciate anyone who has experience on
promoting an online resume/CV if they would be kind enough to share it with
myself.
