Resume objectives: What do you think?

Question:
What do you think of these two resume objectives?

1. Objective: To obtain a challenging position preening and cleaning feathers OR polishing hairballs and lint.

2. Objective: [To] Preen and clean feathers OR polish hairballs and lint.

My opinion is that #2 is rather specific, possibly showing inflexibility, while #1 shows a willingness to be take on additional related responsibilities. Unfortunately, #1 also seems to be quite wordy. Any thoughts?

Answer:
LOL. The addition of the "Objective" as part of a resume is one of the goofiest ideas in the history of resume writing. Might as well have fun with it. I like #1.

I tend more to the curriculum vitae approach. When last I applied for a job (2000) I used the covering letter to tell the prospective employer what job I sought. The résumé enclosed with the letter provided the reasons why I was suitable should be considered for the post.
