Question:
I am just wondering if anyone has tried printing
text on HP 890 using resume paper. How is the
quality? Or should I just chill up and get a cheap
laser printer instead?
Answer:
- I don't know about the 890, but the earlier 820 prints beautifully on
good-quality bond, better than some lasers. Print in plain paper mode,
'best' setting.
- I have been using the 890 for about 4 weeks and have tried a variety
of papers. The only noticable problem is when I printed text at size
4 font on 24 lb LASER paper. If you use a magnifying glass, you can
see some spreading of the ink. Of course you have to use a magnofying
glass to read it. As far as graphics are concerned, it is great on
almost any paper. I had an 820 which I gave to my daughter and it is
very good, but the 890 is better.
