Question:
Hello Everyone, Yes yet another couple going for a K-1 Visa. Barbara
(English) and Henry (American)would like to know if any one could tell us
where we can find a sample cover letter for submitting the papers to
Immigration in Texas, since I live in Florida and a sample of the cover
letter that Barbara will mail to the US Embassy in London.
Barbara will be bringing her 15 year old daughter
and two cats, her son 20 will be coming later. Any advice ??
Answer:
Sorry, I can't help on the cover letter (although I can tell you that
dejanews should have plenty ... including much debate about whether one
was needed).

The son could be a problem since once he reaches 21 he will not be able
to adjust status as a child and would have to find some other means of
coming to the US (school, H1B if applicable, etc). There have been a
number of discussions about this previously.
While it isn't required, it probably doesn't hurt to include a cover
letter. The main reason is to detail up front the enclosures you have
sent with the letter (i.e. your forms, etc). I sent the following in
1997:
