Question:
I am new in web design with a certificate in multimedia. I have created a
website to look for work as a web designer, www.ianlock.com. Is this web
resume and its contents good enough to find work and if not why? What are
web design companies looking for in a candidate? I love Flash, but is there
functional uses in the really world for some of the things Flash can do.
There are many special effects and more new ones every day that I don't
think is used in web design or commercial CD production.
Answer:
This is an excellent way to present your resume as a web designer.
One item you may want to fix: The navigation panel on the left creates a
scroll bar at its foot. Make the panel a little wider. Then I'd suggest
tightening it up so it doesn't need a vertical scroll bar at 800 wide.
BTW, you may be in a good position to go freelance instead of sitting at
someone's work desk.
